The Barbarian Whirlwind build in Diablo 4 is one of the most effective builds for a Barbarian. Unlike the Hammer of the Ancients build, it isn’t combo-heavy, making it easy for new players to use. Whirlwind is a simple skill that requires Fury to maintain, and most builds will constantly generate Fury. Buff yourself up and defeat some enemies, then unleash the Whirlwind for maximum damage. You will devastate groups of enemies with the right skill investments and equipment. You won’t ever have to worry about Fury because you will have a constant supply of it. Here’s what you must do to create the best Barbarian Whirlwind build in Diablo 4.

The main skill for this build is Whirlwind, but you must support that skill with passives and buffs. If you don’t, you will be struggling to make up the difference against powerful enemies who have better protection. Lunging Strike helps you get close to enemies to set up Whirlwind’s usage. Rallying Cry generates Fury to prevent you from running out, while War Cry boosts your damage. Pressure Point makes enemies more likely to be Vulnerable when hit, while Prolific Fury boosts Fury Generation.

Recommended Equipment For The Barbarian Whirlwind Build

Specializing in Two-Handed Axe or Sword Expertise is recommended since those are the best weapons for Whirlwind. Get the best bonuses on your equipment as you can, and don’t forget about your Aspects. The Aspects you want are:

  • Aspect of the Dire Whirlwind
  • Aspect of Berserk Ripping
  • Aspect of Ancestral Echoes
  • Aspect of Anemia
  • Aspect of Disobedience
  • Aspect of the Protector
  • Iron Blood Aspect
  • Aspect of Echoing Fury

Experiment with the build as you work your way up. Once everything falls into place, you can start fighting better enemies in World Tier I and II. This sets a good foundation for you to move on to more advanced builds or team up with others.
