New Army Of The Dead Character Posters Will Blow Your Mind

As you may know by now, thanks to previous hype (including the trailer that came out earlier this month), "Army of the Dead" is about a group of mercenaries hired to pull off a casino robbery in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. The zombies are smart, fast, and organized, and the human squad that make up the cast are all stars. These newly revealed posters are allowing fans to find out a little bit more about each of them.
Each of the posters is themed with different colors, neon-style symbols, and a tagline related to the setting of the film at a casino. For example, the poster for Dave Bautista's character reads "All bets are off" and is themed with blue, magenta, and red hues. The symbols, which tend to recur across all the characters, include playing cards, shadowy zombie hands, cowboy boots and hats, stacks of money, poker chips, weapons, bullets, the number "7" rendered in slot-machine style, and Day of the Dead-style skulls. The posters show off the characters' various looks and clothing styles and often their apparent favorite weapon with which to take out the undead.
If the purpose of the release was to excite moviegoers, well — mission accomplished. Although there were a few dissenting voices from people wondering where zombie tiger Valentine's poster was, for the most part these posts seem to be getting people pretty excited for the coming movie. One person even said he renewed his Netflix subscription so he could watch. "Looks like it'll be quite the thrill ride. Can't wait!" posted user @JoeBritches. It's still about three weeks until the film actually releases, though — which is definitely going to seem long from here on out.
