Chicago P.D.'s Sophia Bush Stars In A New Medical Drama

According to CBS, Sophia Bush stars as Dr. Samantha Griffith, a surgeon at the fictional Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital who lands a new leadership role from some circumstances surrounding the lead surgeon. Dr. Griffith becomes the new top surgeon only after the previous title-holder, who also happens to be her father, falls into a coma. Tensions rise between father and daughter when he comes out of the coma and wants his old position back but finds his daughter holding on to the role.

Set to star alongside Bush is Jason Isaacs, who will be playing Dr. Griffith's pompous father and former chief of surgery. Also set to appear in the series is Skye P. Marshall as Dr. Lex Trulie, Omar Maskati as Isan, and Michael Stahl-David as Caleb (via IMDb). A trailer for the upcoming series debuted earlier this year (via YouTube), teasing all of the dramatic subplots that will unfold over the course of Season 1. Fans of Bush are likely hoping this show turns out to be a hit as this will mark her next leading role since "Chicago P.D." Luckily, viewers don't have too much longer to wait as the series is set to premiere on January 5, 2022.
